Content of the seminar
The topic of the accredited seminar Citizen science: librarians as a link between science and citizens: introduction of the concepts and principles of the citizen science, as well as the importance and role of librarians in possible activities in the field of citizen science.
Citizen science, also known as Community science, is a new scientific movement that strives for greater involving of citizens and society in the production of scientific knowledge. These activities can be carried out in various ways, whereby citizens collect data, develop hypotheses and can expand the results.
A part of the presented content is based on the everyday experience of librarians of the University Library “Svetozar Markovic“, supplemented and enriched by less known details and examples from the international practice within the proposed topic.

Required prior knowledge
For attending the proposed program it is not necessary to have any special qualifications or prior knowledge, except for the experience that employees in the field of library and information activity have.

Appointments in which seminars will be held are available in the application form.
Registration
Registration is done through a form. All those who are registered beyond the planned number will be placed on the waiting list and subsequently informed about the next appointments.
Duration of the seminar
The seminar is a one-day course lasting 6 hours. The maximum number of participants is 25.
