E-Catalogue
University Library’s Electronic Catalogue is available 24/7, 7 days a week. At any time, Library users can access the Catalogue, search it according to the set parameters, and, if they find the literature they are looking for, reserve it through the My Library service.
My Library
If a user wants to order a book immediately, they need to log into My Library service and choose the publication they want. If the publication is ordered during working hours, the user will get a notification via email that they can pick up the publication in the Circulation Department (the Reception desk). It may happen that another user has taken the book, in which case, it can be reserved.
In order to use this service, it is necessary to open an access account with the librarian at the Reception desk or in the Catalogue.
Digitized Card Catalogue
Within the project “Creation of a Complete Electronic Catalogue of the University Library ‘Svetozar Markovic'”, which was supported by the Ministry of Culture and Information in 2015, the Card Catalogue of the University Library was digitized. This enabled the search of the entire Library collection electronically through the digitized Card Catalogue and the Cobiss system. The digitized Card Catalogue consists of:
– Latin catalogue 1, which includes publications from the founding of the Library until 1963;
– Latin catalogue 2, which includes publications from 1963 to 1998;
– Catalogue of the Old and Rare Books Department
All catalogues can now be searched within the system for viewing and searching digital card catalogues at the University of Innsbruck
