Andrew Carnegie Student Reading Room
A big reference collection which consists of encyclopedias and reference books which meet all students’ needs in search for knowledge in any scientific field is located in Andrew Carnegie Student Reading Room. All the books are in open access on the shelves and students can use them at any time.
At the moment this reference collection has more than 360 dictionaries in 25 world languages and 1,250 reference books and encyclopedias and it is still growing. There are five separate groups of publications: dictionaries, general encyclopedias, natural sciences, social sciences and humanities.
New Student Reading Room
The reference collection in the New Student Reading Room is a separate group of publications and it is available to users in the Reading Room because it cannot be used outside of it. This reference collection consists of general and special encyclopedias, lexicons, dictionaries, biographical dictionaries, atlases and other reference books in Serbian and other foreign languages (103).
Professors’ Reading Room
The reference collection in the Professors’ Reading Room consists of publications which provide a quick access to scientific information. These publications give basic, short and concise answers to the questions that users might have. They are in open access on the shelves in the Reading Room and users can use them on their own or with the help of a librarian. The most important titles of general, national and expert encyclopedias, lexicons, reference books, biographical, language and terminological dictionaries are a part of this reference collection which has 330 titles with more than 2,000 volumes. A part of this collection is located on the gallery which is above the Andrew Carnegie Student Reading Room.
