Course content
The seminar is a continuation of programs carried out in two accreditation periods: 2016, as “Copyright in the library and information industry”, and 2017-2018 (“Copyright in the library and information industry: infringement of rights and the concept of plagiarism”) and will deal with the issues in more detail which could occur when the author’s work exists in an online environment. The numerous aspects of this extensive topic will be grouped into three units: digitalisation of cultural heritage, author’s work on social media platforms and reproduction of works in the functioning of certain internet services. The goal of the seminar is to provide guidelines to employees in the library and information industry to avoid pitfalls and mistakes that can occur when using the opportunities provided by the Internet, in order to avoid infringement of rights.
