Course content

Course participants will familiarize themselves with the searchable digital library pretraživa.srb, a portal on which common digital material is deposited by some of the most important cultural and educational institutions in Serbia today.

The topic will be covered in detail from the theoretical and practical aspects.

Within the program, all individual aspects of the topic regarding the process of digitisation of searchable materials, search and further use of searchable digital collections will be processed. A significant part of the course will be devoted to the DocWorks program, mastering the basic commands for working in this program, as well as practical work. The participants will gain practical knowledge of using the Searchable digital library, processing and adding documents to it.

Required prior knowledge

It is not necessary to have any special qualifications or prior knowledge to attend this course. All employees in library and information activities and other employees in scientific and cultural institutions can attend the workshop. The level of lectures is adapted to the prior knowledge of the participants in accordance with the level of information literacy.

Duration of the course

The course lasts 2 days for 3 hours.

The number of participants is from 5 to 15.
