Content of the seminar

The topic of the course is the identification of researchers on different platforms that are available on the Internet, which can find its adequate application in the library and information activity. The training of course participants includes work on the following platforms:

-ORCHID

-Google Scholar Account

-ResearcherID

The content of the workshop is directly related to the needs of employees in the library and information activity. Every day, librarians meet users who are not yet familiar with the concept of Open Science and communication on the Internet. Practical work in these systems will allow the use of these platforms to be fully adopted.

Workshop

In addition to the theoretical part, a workshop is planned for practicing on the mentioned platforms, depending on the participants, as well as on their prior knowledge.

Target group

Higher education librarians, but also all other employees in the library and information activities with experience in searching various sources of information.

Preparation for the seminar

It is necessary for participants to open accounts according to the instructions they will receive upon registering for the course.

The course lasts 1 day / 6 hours. The number of participants is from 16 to 20.
