Procedure
The University Library “Svetozar Marković”, in cooperation with the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia, carries out metadata verification in scientific publications and conference proceedings and abstract books funded through public calls. The verification covers the formal criteria and data prescribed by the Ministry’s public call.
Verification Process
Publications are submitted to UNILIB in final layout in PDF format, prior to sending the publication for CIP processing and the depositing of the mandatory electronic copy at the National Library of Serbia. The PDF is to be submitted exclusively to naucne.publikacije@unilib.rs – responses are provided by members of the metadata verification team. For scientific monographs that will not be placed in the public domain, only the preliminary pages are to be submitted: the title page, the copyright page, table of contents, and imprint.
Payment
The publisher submits their invoicing details to UNILIB – the name of the institution, tax identification number (PIB), physical address, name of the contact, and their email address.
Payment to UNILIB is made according to the following price list:
- Monographic publications and conference proceedings with up to 10 authors – 1,500.00 RSD
- Conference proceedings with 10 to 50 authors – 2,500.00 RSD
- Conference proceedings with 50 to 100 authors – 4,000.00 RSD
- Conference proceedings with 100 to 150 authors – 5,000.00 RSD
- Conference proceedings with 150 to 200 authors – 6,000.00 RSD
- Conference proceedings with 200 to 250 authors – 7,000.00 RSD
- Conference proceedings with 250 to 300 authors – 8,000.00 RSD
- Conference proceedings with 300 to 350 authors – 9,000.00 RSD
- Conference proceedings with 350 to 400 authors – 10,000.00 RSD
- Conference proceedings with over 400 authors – 12,000.00 RSD
Payment is made by the publisher to UNILIB upon receipt of the issued invoice.
Certificate of Metadata Compliance
Each verified publication, with corrections entered and after the CIP processing, is resubmitted to UNILIB in its final layout. Upon completing the metadata verification and the submission of the final PDF version of the publication with the CIP, UNILIB sends the publisher a certified, signed and registered confirmation by email that the scientific publication meets all prescribed formal criteria.
