Time period

Borrowing and returning of publications is carried out from 8 AM to 7:40 PM, and on Saturdays until 1:30 PM.

Conditions

Borrowing conditions vary according to membership category:

  • students of state and private universities may borrow 3 books for one month and use 3 simultaneously in the reading room,
  • the unemployed and pensioners may borrow 2 books for one month and use 2 simultaneously in the reading room,
  • postgraduates and doctoral students may borrow 5 books for 2 months and use 5 publications in the reading room,
  • state and private universities’ staff may borrow 10 books for 3 months and use 10 publications in the reading room,
  • employed members may borrow 2 books for one month and use 3 publications in the reading room,
  • high-school seniors and temporary members may use up to 3 publications exclusively in the reading rooms,
  • members who do not have a permanent residence in Belgrade, are not studying in Belgrade, or are not permanently employed in Belgrade may not take publications outside the Library.

Publication Reservation and Loan Extension: My Library

Publications can be reserved before visiting the Library through the “My Library” service. To use this service, you need to register within 24 hours by entering your membership card number and a password of your choice on the registration page, the link to which the Library provides upon registration.

When ordering publications electronically through the My Library application, monographic publications may be ordered, but reference materials with the location codes PČ, SČ, SČM and R cannot be ordered, as these are freely accessible in the reading rooms.

Additionally, for technical reasons, periodical publications (call numbers: V, VI, VII, VIII, Č, Č1–Č16) cannot yet be ordered through this application for the time being.
