Best practice and trends

Five creative hours for at least five creative ideas! Quite enough time for librarian-participants and librarian-trainers to exchange experiences, talk about trends in social media, digital-everything-around-us, communication and reaching out to the audience via innovative campaigns.

Interactive workshop

Besides practical examples, we will hold a workshop that will introduce participants to the possibilities of digital storytelling and communication with audience through campaigns and social media activities.

Course and workshop will cover following topics:

• Social media – are we missing something?
• How social networks changed the way we communicate to our patrons
• Drafting the social media plan
• Digital storytelling, copywriting and content management
• Creative access in designing messages
• Trends, standards and rules
• Targeting audience
• Facebook, Twitter, blogs, video marketing, mailing lists and newsletters
• Monitoring, evaluating and modifying marketing campaigns

Required skills

Applicants must be computer and information literate, have firm knowledge of internet search, using email, and basic knowledge about social networks.

Timeframe

Course lasts for 1 day, 5 hours. Number of participants: 8 to 12.
