How was the Gallery formed?

University Library “Svetozar Markovic” finished decorating their interior space thanks to the donation of the U.S. Steel, and decided to dedicate the big hall on the first floor to young visual artists. As of  March 2008, the Library has its own Art Gallery where art works of the most talented students and invited artists are shown through one-month programs.

Aims

Such initiatives transform the University Library into an open modern academic institution. The Library is aware of the legitimate expectations of its current and future members when it comes to introducing the new content, expanding and opening new creative capacities and responding to changes in terms of interdisciplinarity and knowledge intersections.
