Who is it for?

Austrian Library Reading Room is intended for students, researchers, teachers and all other individuals interested in this special collection of the literature in German.

Membership

All adult individuals can become a member of the Austrian Library for free. If you are already a member of the University Library, you are also a member of the Austrian Library. However, it is possible to only become a member of the Austrian Library. In this case, you would need to point that out during the registration process in the Library.

Use

Before entering the Reading Room, the user must show and hand in their membership card.  The Reading Room has 4 seats, access to the wireless internet and laptop computers can be used in it. Publications from this collection are in open access (on the shelves) and they can be taken out of the Library.

Working hours

10 AM –  2 PM Monday to Friday, closed on Saturdays
