About the project

Within the project University Library “Svetozar Markovic” for the Network of Serbian Public Libraries: Knowledge, Content and Program Delivery funded by the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia, librarians from the University Library visited 26 towns in Serbia, in 2014, and they presented the newest findings and recommendations from the field of lifelong learning which is nowadays offered for free by the world renowned universities and institutes such as Harvard, MIT, Berkeley, Stanford, Yale, Princeton, universities in Tokyo, London, Copenhagen and hundreds of other academic institutions of the highest rank.

Free Quality Education

University Library “Svetozar Markovic” promotes the concept of open online courses available on Coursera and EdX platforms. These portals offer over a thousand courses in different fields such as cryptography, game theory, history of rock music, sustainable development, programming, Chinese language for beginners, finance and many other. These courses enable every user to gain new knowledge and acquire new skills according to personal preferences and time in just a few weeks.

Knowledge for all

The University Library has created a portal called “Knowledge for All” which offers courses taught by the renowned professors at the world famous universities translated into Serbian by the University Library’s Volunteer Club.
