Who is it for?

The Reading Room in the Basement is located in front of the New Student Reading Room and it represents its “extension” in a way. Here, one can often hear the babbling of students since this is the place where they usually work on group projects. This Reading Room is intended for students and high-school seniors but other members are also allowed to use it.

Use

If a user wants to work with the publications from the University Library collections in this Reading Room, they need to fill in a receipt for using books in reading rooms and to book a publication via “My Library” service. The user receives the publications from a duty librarian in the Reading Room. A publication can be used for a month in the Student Reading Room. In case it is not used for 5 days in a row, it is returned to the storage. If one needs to use their own notes and books in the Reading Room, they must inform the duty librarian in the New Student Reading Room.

Before entering the Reading Room, the user must show and hand in their membership card and personal belongings (bags, coats etc.) at the reception. Users have access to the wireless internet and they can use their laptop computers. Users are allowed to bring in some refreshments (water).
